introduction to the Beijing residency program

Founded in 2002, the:artist:network offers artists and curators international residency and curatorial programs in Basel, New York, and now: Beijing.

Our Beijing outpost is the latest addition to our world-wide residency project. Our Beijing artist residency is located at the heart of Caochangdi, an art village minutes away from the famous 798 art district--the locus of all the major contemporary art activities in China. We provide two 100 square meters tailor made for artist studio work & live lofts, and a local staff that can assist you with realizing your production.

Beijing is both a place that is saturated by a surging local artistic community as well as a growing center for a new wave of foreign contemporary art. the:artist:network serves as your connection point by offering the most sophisticated artist residency in Beijing, China.
